Beef Tallow is shelf stable, however, we recommend keeping it refrigerated or frozen to maintain optimal freshness and to extend product life. . It’s brittle when cold making it easy to break off pieces when needed for use. Lastly, tallow can be filtered and stored for reuse after deep frying. Allow it to cool, then pour through a metal fine mesh sieve into a clean container, cover tightly and store in the refrigerator or freezer for reuse.
