Ingredients
- 1/4 cup lard, melted and cooled
- 4 medium size sweet potatoes, washed and dried, remove blemishes
- kosher or course sea salt, to taste
Instructions
- Heat the oven to 400 degrees.
- Grease baking sheet with lard and set aside.
- Cut the sweet potatoes into 1/2-inch-thick slices and place in large bowl.
- Pour the lard over potatoes and toss to coat.
- Arrange the potatoes in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Season with salt.
- Bake for 20 minutes, then turn them over and bake another 15-20 minutes until golden brown
